SOYL attend Doe Show 2008

SOYL will be attending this year's Doe Show, the larget dealer show in the UK at Ulting, Maldon in Essex on the 5th, 6th and 7th of February.

The 3 day event attracts in excess of 10,000 visitors from all sectors of business and includes indoor display areas, outside stands and demonstrations.

SOYLsense 2007 Results Bring Benefits of £40/ha

Results from the 2007 harvest have been reported in the £40 - £80 per hectare gross margin benefit range for wheat. Oilseed rape, barley and oats have all performed well too when compared to normal practice. The benefits in 2005 at £25 per ha and 2006 at £30 per ha were calculated based on wheat at £60 and £70 respectively so the current grain market virtually doubles the potential payback. SOYL Sponsor Beaujolais Run Team 2007

In support of several charities, SOYL helped sponsor customer, David Matthews, in this year's Beaujolais Run. Starting from the Goodwood circuit, the 2-man team headed south through France in a Lotus car. The route through France encorporated navigational trials, cryptic checkpoints and a fancy dress theme. In a field of 59 cars, team 'Wine Chasers' came within the top 20 and raised over £4000 for charity. read more

New Rape Model for SOYLsense Brings Increased Benefits

The potential for benefiting from canopy manipulation of oilseed rape is very high. If the canopy goes beyond its optimum size, shading of pods can cause significant yield loss. Lodging potential is also increased, crops are weaker and become more susceptible to disease. For the 2008 season SOYLsense has improved the model for winter oilseed rape.
