The SOYL Compatible logo assures customers that the equipment or software in question can be used with SOYL maps. Last year, SOYL maps were used on 1 million acres of land in the U.K. and to date, our maps have been compatible with all customer's hardware and software.

The half-day sessions provide a chance to see first-hand, how imagery is translated into Leaf Area Index maps and how customers can manage their own application maps online on the new website. SOYLsense staff will be on-hand to answer any questions you may have.

At the Cirencester workshop, Simon Griffin, SOYLsense Manager, talked through the new faster and user-friendly SOYLsense website. Customers can logon to their secure account, view LAI maps, generate tailored nitrogen application maps and edit maps online. Customers can still opt for all processing to be done by the SOYLsense team in the office.

There are further workshops running in 2010 (see below) so speak to your usual SOYL contact or Rebecca Parker at SOYL head office to reserve your place now as space is limited at each location.

Those of you who have already booked up for next season may well have already spoken to Rebecca or met her at one of the SOYLsense workshops we are running.

Rebecca has a background in Biological Sciences and in her final year at college specialised in Plant Physiology and Insect Plant Management.

She has joined via our Graduate Recruitment Programme and will be involved in a development schedule including negotiation, communication, presentation and business management skills.

Originally launched in 2002, SOYL have refined MultYields and are relaunching the service.

It is designed to identify trends of high and low yielding areas over a period of years. Areas of non-stability are also identified. These areas can then be used to identify site specific management zones.

MultiYields is available on a per hectare charge basis which includes processing your yield data through the software and producing a map of proposed management zones. If you would like further information on yield monitoring systems please call SOYL on 01635 204190.
