SOYLsense Assistant

SOYLsense is SOYL’s variable rate nitrogen service which uses satellites to measure crop canopy variation and create variable rate nitrogen recommendations based on the information acquired.  The main requirements for the role are attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and effectively under the pressured situation that SOYLsense presents.

Overview
To work with the Technical Manager and SOYLsense Manager to assist with the administration of the SOYLsense programme with customer service paramount.  A customer focused role, providing daily support to users, you will be working in a challenging environment at times. This is a full time, permanent position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily customer liaison
  • Customer account administration 
  • Creation of accurate variable rate nitrogen recommendations
  • Telephone support for customers using the SOYLsense website
  • Administration of customer records and jobs undertaken
  • Resolution of customer queries

Main Tasks

  • Timely and accurate set-up of web accounts using online software
  • Timely and accurate creation of nitrogen application files as required by the client
  • Technical support to customers using the SOYLsense website
  • Accurate record keeping of jobs completed or undertaken
  • Maintenance of the SOYLsense client database
  • Liaison with the sales team and customers
  • Other tasks as may reasonably be requested by the Managing Director

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to manage a full workload
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience of arable farming
  • Experience of customer liaison
  • Experience of working under pressure
