The SOYL team will be on stand C-415-4 and with Frontier Agriculture on E-524-5 to discuss how SOYL can benefit your business. Visit us at the event to see:

SOYLsight, the drone technology used to identify crop performance issues, even before they become apparent to the naked eye
MySOYL, the exciting new web-based tool for customers to easily access, view and manage their precision crop data
Soil scanning technology which analyses soil content and allows growers to plant accordingly to achieve the best results
Live demonstrations of SOYLsense, the UK’s number one variable rate nitrogen service, using imagery from this season.
For further event information, visit www.cerealsevent.co.uk.

2. SOYLsense season ends with final June image

Though nitrogen applications to winter crops are now complete, one final satellite image will be available in June which will allow SOYLsense users to analyse the progression of crops since their last application of nitrogen in April/May.

May enews2 - LAI maps

As well as benefiting from using satellite imagery to apply nitrogen variably, customers have also used SOYLsense to successfully:

Apply PGRs variably
Apply late liquid N to improve protein levels
Identify poor areas of crop growth to allow further investigation through crop walking
Map pest prevention schemes such as rabbit fences
Identify sampling points based on crop performance using the LAI imagery, helping with strategic nutrient sampling.
The images can no longer be used to plan nitrogen applications, but all those taken this season are still available for current SOYLsense users to view.

Growers yet to discover SOYLsense can collect a free satellite image of some of their own fields from this spring by visiting the SOYL team at Cereals on stand C-415-4. The team will be on hand to talk through the service and the benefits it can bring to each farm.

For more information, visit SOYL at Cereals or call the SOYLsense team on 01635 204198.
