Investigate with Field Health Check
Field Health Check is a new analysis package from SOYL. It provides a comprehensive soil analysis report that focuses on the biological, physical and chemical properties of soil beyond the standard macro nutrients.
Results are presented in a clear, graphical format for quick interpretation. An example report can be viewed here.
From a whole field composite sample, the package includes soil analysis for:
Micro nutrients: copper, boron, sodium, zinc, calcium, molybdenum, iron, sulphate, manganese
Macro nutrients: phosphorus, potassium, magnesium
Cation exchange capacity, organic matter, pH and soil texture.

Frontier MyFarm update
Frontier MyFarm is an exciting new web-based tool for customers to easily access, view and manage their data. Customers will be able to view their SOYL nutrient data, create recommendations and generate variable rate seed files, all online at Frontier MyFarm.

SOYLsense Variable Rate Nitrogen
Following a difficult start to the growing season, recent warmer weather has in many cases exacerbated crop canopy variation, leaving patches of very thin crop intertwined with lush crop.
SOYLsense users are able to benefit from the Handmade Map feature which allows the grower to identify areas of particularly poor crop and zone them out to receive a specific rate. The rest of the field can then be treated with a normal variable rate nitrogen application model meaning that each area of the field is pushed to reach maximum yield.
Where SOYLsense users have areas of very low crop density and want to avoid ‘wasting’ nitrogen, the Field Average Reverse Model can be used to aid decision making in what has been a difficult season for many. The Field Average Reverse Model allows applications to be increased or reduced in different areas according to canopy size. Although not the normal procedure, it is proving useful in helping those with the most backward crops reach the highest possible yield.
